MotherCoders NYC: Call for Speakers + Coaches
We are currently recruiting technology professionals and career coaches to serve as guest speakers for our first class of students in NYC.
Working directly with the Deputy Mayor's Office through its women.nyc initiative, we are helping women with kids jumpstart careers in tech, and learning directly from industry professionals brings our curriculum to life. Not only is this a great opportunity to welcome more women into the tech ecosystem, while uplifting families in NYC, you’ll get access to a talented group of professionals with college degrees and work experience who will bring tremendous value to forward thinking companies.
Because you can't be what you can't see, we strongly urge professionals who are parents and/or identify as woman to apply.
We also invite volunteers to join us for lunch that day if they can.

Volunteers may choose to visit our Tuesdays/Thursday class or our Saturday-only class (or both). Please see below for specific volunteer opportunities.
Opportunity 1: For UX Designers + Web Developers
This is a chance for you to help our students gain experience in receiving feedback and coaching on how to improve their sites, which will be shown on Demo Day (4/13). Volunteers will provide feedback on student projects, which will be built using html/css/js.

We will be hosting a panel discussion to provide students with insights on the costs and benefits of living in a data driven economy. What's possible thanks to advances in ML/AI? What are tradeoffs in privacy and security depending on what's being optimized?
